Recap: Land O' Lakes Gators vs. North Marion Colts
The Land O' Lakes Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-30 to North Marion. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Land O' Lakes has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Land O' Lakes lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maxwell Moore. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Moore continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Robinson - Williams, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Coy Sizemore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Marion, scoring 16 points. Sizemore is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brenden Barber, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Land O' Lakes has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for North Marion, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Land O' Lakes and Mitchell will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for North Marion, they will head out on the road to take on Hawthorne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Averaging 62.1 so far this season, Hawthorne's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so North Marion better be ready for a challenge.
