Softball Recap: Mohonasen Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mohonasen had lost nine games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Ravens, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 29, 2024.

As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Cross, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Autumn Lischak also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Coming up, Mohonasen will challenge Schenectady at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they will head out on the road to challenge Lansingburgh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
