Softball Recap: Ontario Tigers vs. Nyssa Bulldogs
Wednesday just wasn't the day for Ontario's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Nyssa Bulldogs on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in April.
Ontario saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lili Owings, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Owings' first of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Ontario and nudges their season record down to 1-14. As for Nyssa, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontario will venture away from home to take on Baker/Powder Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nyssa, they will square off against Burns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
