Basketball Recap: Weber's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Weber unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 77-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Syracuse Titans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Syracuse's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradlee Trejo, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Trejo a new career-high in points. Skyler Orton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.

Weber's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Syracuse, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Weber will venture away from home to take on Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weber knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Fremont likes a good challenge. As for Syracuse, they will challenge Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Syracuse's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
