Baseball Game Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. Analy Tigers

St. Vincent de Paul is 0-5 against Analy since March of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs will welcome the Analy Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Analy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Vincent de Paul, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, St. Vincent de Paul needed a bit of extra time to put away Sonoma Academy. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Coyotes.

Cameron Boutilier made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Boutilier was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Boutilier wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Will Hankins, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Hankins has posted since back in April of 2024. Harrison Barley was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Analy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-7 to Casa Grande. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Sonny Quatannens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Hunter Thomas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Analy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Vincent de Paul, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
