Basketball Game Preview: Gloversville Huskies/Dragons vs. Northville Falcons

The Gloversville Huskies/Dragons and the Northville Falcons will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Gloversville turned things around against Mayfield on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43. The Huskies/Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Northville challenged Galway on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 64-31 stomp they got against Galway. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Northville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.8 points. As for Gloversville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Things could have been worse for Gloversville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Northville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023.
