Baseball Recap: Ambassador Christian School Gets the Win

Ambassador Christian School gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Combine Academy National Goats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Jacson Taplin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ambassador Christian School is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Marek Romano was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Max Gais was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Ambassador Christian School's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Combine Academy National, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ambassador Christian School will challenge NorthPoint Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Combine Academy National, they will take on Carmel Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
