The Apple Valley Christian Warriors had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Silver Valley 87-5 on Friday. Apple Valley Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 70-5.
Jaden Sassone continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Silver Valley, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sassone is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Stephen Crawford was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Apple Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Silver Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Hesperia Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1059th, while Silver Valley is ranked 380th).
