Recap: Teague Lions vs. Westwood Panthers
The Teague Lions won the last time they faced the Westwood Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Teague took down Westwood 60-43. Given Teague's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Westwood is ranked 1062nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jolee Haley, who scored 29 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bethanah Owens, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Teague pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Teague is on the road again on Friday and play against Buffalo at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Buffalo is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Westwood will be home for the holidays to greet Mexia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mexia is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
