Volleyball Recap: West Branch Beats Streetsboro for Their Third Straight Win

West Branch had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Streetsboro Rockets as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-12.

Madilyn Hoopes paced West Branch's offense, picking up nine kills. Hoopes got some help from Aislyn Ring and her 14 assists. Audrey Ring controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Streetsboro saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leyna Fincham had 16 digs and three aces. Fincham is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

West Branch's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Streetsboro, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

West Branch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Holy Name on the 20th. Streetsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
