Softball Game Preview: Headland Rams vs. Ashford Yellowjackets

Headland is 2-8 against Ashford since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rams will host the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Headland and Houston Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams came up short against the Raiders on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, Ashford lost 13-2 to Long on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost eight in a row.

Olivia Dodson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Headland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Ashford, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
