Baseball Game Preview: Mifflinburg Wildcats vs. Milton Black Panthers

The Mifflinburg Wildcats will take on the Milton Black Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mifflinburg barely beat Shikellamy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Mifflinburg blew past Shikellamy 11-2 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the match before.

Aaron Bolick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Bolick was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Hunter Resseguie was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Chad Martin was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Mifflinburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shikellamy only managed five hits.

Meanwhile, Milton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out Bloomsburg 4-3 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Montgomery Fisher, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lytle, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Everything went Mifflinburg's way against Milton when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Mifflinburg made off with an 8-1 victory. Does Mifflinburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
