Soccer Recap: Rancho Cucamonga's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Despite a strong season so far, Rancho Cucamonga has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Poly Bears. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Luke Gerard, which was the first he's scored this season.

Rancho Cucamonga's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3-1. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho Cucamonga will welcome Upland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Upland will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rancho Cucamonga surely won't give up without a fight. As for Poly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paloma Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paloma Valley's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
