Volleyball Recap: Desert Oasis' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Desert Oasis unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Mercy Jaguars. The Diamondbacks were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

Charli Quinto paced Desert Oasis' offense, picking up four kills. Quinto got some help from Riana Morales Imura and her six assists.

Leading Mercy to victory were Addison Randol and Jenna Hawkins. Randol had 14 assists and three digs, while Hawkins had three digs.

Desert Oasis' defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Desert Oasis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on the 19th. As for Mercy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Marymount on the 19th.
