Football Recap: Lexington Starts off Right with Win over Holdrege

Lexington had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Holdrege Dusters by a score of 14-3. This was payback for the Minutemen, who suffered a 35-27 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bryant Truax looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 51 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passing yards (72).

Lexington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-13 defeat against Platteview on the 5th. As for Holdrege, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 28-14 loss against Alliance on the 5th.
