Basketball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood managed to keep up with Newark until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lakewood Rangers were outmatched by the Newark Wildcats and fell 65-35. The match marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakewood and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Newark, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Lakewood will take on Valley Forge at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Newark, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Perrysburg at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
