Basketball Recap: Pope John Paul II Takes a Loss

Pope John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 43-25 bruising from the Harpeth Hall Honeybears. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Honeybears are ranked 79th).

Pope John Paul II now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Harpeth Hall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pope John Paul II will take on Ensworth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harpeth Hall has already played their next match (against Father Ryan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
