Softball Recap: Franklinton Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, Franklinton came back down to earth. The Franklinton Demons fell just short of the Springfield Bulldogs by a score of 8-7 on Saturday. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Franklinton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Springfield, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Franklinton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat against Sumner on the 8th. As for Springfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-8 victory against Slaughter Community Charter on the 8th.
