Volleyball Recap: Ezequiel Rosario-Diaz and Luis Monserat Secure Win for West Port

There's no place like home for West Port, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the North Marion Colts 3-0 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Wolf Pack: when they faced off against the Colts last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

West Port got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 30-28.

Leading West Port to victory were Luis Monserat and Ezequiel Rosario-Diaz. Monserat had 18 digs and three aces, while Rosario-Diaz had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Rosario-Diaz a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: West Port was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are 7-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

West Port's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for North Marion, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, West Port will welcome Belleview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Marion, they will venture away from home to face off against Vanguard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
