While Kerr-Vance Academy might've come up empty on Tuesday, Nathan McDaniel wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, McDaniel was still locked in as he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
