Soccer Game Preview: Frontier Academy vs. Fort Morgan

The Frontier Academy Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the Fort Morgan Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frontier Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.

Frontier Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Weld Central as they made off with a 3-0 win. Frontier Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Weld Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elle Haas, Dani Douglass, and Piper Bays.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Fort Morgan was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Longmont. While losing is never fun, Fort Morgan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Longmont are ranked 89th).

Frontier Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those six games. As for Fort Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
