Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against American Heritage Academy on Monday, Amplus Academy came back down to earth. The Archers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silverado Skyhawks on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14.

When it comes to explaining why Amplus Academy lost, don't look at Paul Costa. Despite the final result, he had 19 digs. Rylan Tolentino also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

Amplus Academy dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Silverado, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-18.

Looking ahead, Amplus Academy will welcome Clark at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverado has already played their next matchup (against Arbor View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
