Basketball Recap: Wilson Hall Takes a Loss

Wilson Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 50-42 to the Augusta Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Barons of the 32-26 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Augusta Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makenna Ellis, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Booker, who had 11 points.

Wilson Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Augusta Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Wilson Hall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-42 loss against Northside Christian Academy on the 14th. As for Augusta Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 45-35 defeat against Orangeburg Prep on the 14th.
