Football Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Half Moon Bay Cougars, falling 49-21. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Pacheco's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brenton Siemiller, who picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Raul Moreno, who threw for 79 yards and a pair of TDs.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Half Moon Bay, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Pacheco and Half Moon Bay could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 720th) will meet Lathrop (ranked 353rd) at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. Meanwhile, Half Moon Bay will square off against Sacred Heart Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (425 vs. 204).
