Basketball Recap: Poynette Takes a Loss

Poynette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 78-71 to the New Glarus Glarner Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pumas of the 59-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Poynette's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for New Glarus, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poynette will finish 2024 at home by hosting Laconia on Friday. One thing working in Laconia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for New Glarus, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dodgeville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
