Soccer Game Preview: East Columbus vs. Lakewood + Official Tickets

The East Columbus Gators will head out to square off against the Lakewood Leopards at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Columbus will be strutting in after a win while Lakewood will be coming in after a defeat.

East Columbus took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past West Columbus 3-0. East Columbus haven't had any issues with West Columbus recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Lakewood and Union, and Union kept the tradition alive. The Leopards fell 5-3 to the Spartans on Wednesday.

East Columbus' win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

East Columbus came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakewood in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
