Bear River entered their tilt with Placer on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Hillmen 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.

Bear River was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.

Grace McKeown paced Bear River's offense, picking up 14 kills. McKeown got some help from Brooke Milligan and her 25 assists. Milligan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Placer had strong showings from Sydney Hodge, who had nine digs and three assists, and Liv Duchaine, who had three digs and two aces.

Bear River's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Placer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
