Basketball Recap: Carlisle Skates Past Altoona with Ease

Carlisle was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Altoona on Wednesday. The Carlisle Thundering Herd breezed by the Altoona Mountain Lions to the tune of 71-43. The Thundering Herd have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

Carlisle has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Altoona, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Carlisle will face off against State College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Altoona has already played their next game (against Chambersburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
