Soccer Game Preview: Chillicothe vs. Maryville

Chillicothe is 1-9 against Maryville since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hornets will host the Spoofhounds at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chillicothe took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Savannah, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Savages 2-1.

Meanwhile, Maryville kept a clean sheet against Lafayette on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 13-0 victory. Considering Maryville have won nine contests by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Maryville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those eight matches. As for Chillicothe, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
