Baseball Recap: Bradenton Christian Gets the Win

The third road matchup was the charm for Bradenton Christian, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against the Booker Tornadoes on Thursday as the Bradenton Christian Panthers made off with a 16-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

Connor Henderson and Matthew Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Henderson scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Johnson scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Henderson a new career-high. Nate Davis was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Bradenton Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Booker only hit six hits.

Bradenton Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Bradenton Christian will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against IMG Academy White at 7:00 p.m. As for Booker, they have already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Spoto on the 14th.
