Softball Recap: Elmwood Park Takes a Loss

Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Bartlett Hawks, falling 12-4.

Elmwood Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Jarosz, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Jarosz's first of the season. Another was Tessa LaRocco, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Elmwood Park's record is now 3-9. As for Bartlett, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmwood Park will welcome Payton College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bartlett, they will be playing at home against Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Hawks' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
