Basketball Recap: Center Hill Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

If Holly Springs wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Center Hill, they should've done a better job of containing Madison S. Hughes. Everything went the Center Hill Mustangs' way against the Holly Springs Hawks on Friday as the Center Hill Mustangs made off with a 64-43 win thanks in part to S. Hughes, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Kennedy Hulbert was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Center Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Holly Springs, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Center Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-46 defeat against Hutchison on the 25th. Holly Springs has also already played their next contest (against Rosa Fort), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
