Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Prep Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-34 loss at the hands of the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-20 back in November.

Real Life Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevor Thorsen led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to six boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Manny Almonte, who posted ten points.

Liberty Christian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Real Life Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Liberty Christian Prep will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on First Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-45 win against Orlando Science on the 17th.
