Softball Recap: La Mirada Snags 16th Win in Last 17 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orange Lutheran, La Mirada was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Paramount Pirates by a score of 8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 back in March.

La Mirada has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Paramount, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

La Mirada will host Gahr at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paramount, they will venture away from home to take on Downey at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
