Volleyball Recap: Moody Takes a Loss

Moody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oglesby Tigers. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Moody actually scored more points across those three sets (53-51), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 11-25, 15-10.

Moody's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oglesby, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Moody wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Bartlett on the 21st. As for Oglesby, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Holy Trinity Catholic on the 21st.
