The Bishop Foley Ventures will square off against Everest Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Bishop Foley lost 3-0 to University Liggett on Tuesday.

Bishop Foley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave University Liggett a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 31-29, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Bishop Foley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abbey Jones had 14 assists and seven digs. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played. Mary Maltese was another key player, getting 15 assists and three digs.

Everest Collegiate had taken Greenhills down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. Everest Collegiate took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenhills.

Everest Collegiate's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4-2. As for Bishop Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1.
