Softball Recap: Miramonte Takes a Loss

Miramonte suffered their closest loss since February 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Las Lomas Knights by a score of 10-8. The Matadors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gianna Granzella was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Julia Quinn-Ferguson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Miramonte's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Las Lomas, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Miramonte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Mt. Diablo on the 1st. As for Las Lomas, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Campolindo on the 1st.
