Soccer Recap: Pomfret School Takes a Loss

Pomfret School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pomfret School of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Pomfret School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-0-3 record this season.

Pomfret School will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Wilbraham & Monson Academy at 2:30 p.m. Pomfret School will be up against Wilbraham & Monson Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.18 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Vermont Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
