Softball Recap: Washington Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Washington barely beat Normal Community the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Ironmen with a sharp 8-2 victory on Monday. Considering the Panthers have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Washington pushed their record up to 27-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Normal Community, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11.

Coming up, Washington will host Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Normal Community, they are taking a road trip to take on Bloomington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Purple Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Ironmen surely won't give up without a fight.
