Softball Recap: Armstrong Has No Trouble Against Gateway

Armstrong barely beat Gateway the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The River Hawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Gators a 15-0 shutout on Friday. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the River Hawks this season.

Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Gateway, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

When Armstrong and Gateway next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The River Hawks will challenge Neshannock and their 12-game winning streak at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gateway will try to stop Penn-Trafford's 12-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
