            The Logan Longhorns are taking a road trip to  challenge the Gateway Christian Warriors  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Logan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Wednesday. They never let Elida get on the board and left with  a   16-0  victory. The  win was nothing new for the Longhorns as they're now sitting on three straight.

 Aydin Kotara made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.  Meanwhile, Gateway Christian entered their tilt with Elida last Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp  13-6 victory.
 Gateway Christian's win was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-4. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Logan, their record is now 11-7.
 Logan took their  win against Gateway Christian  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
