Recap: State Line HomeSchool R Rush vs. Greenville H Hurricanes
After flying high against Grace Christian on Thursday, the State Line HomeSchool R Rush came back down to earth. State Line HomeSchool R took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to State Line HomeSchool R of the 41-37 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Greenville H's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Opal Maralit led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Keely Price, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
State Line HomeSchool R's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Greenville H, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. State Line HomeSchool R will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Runnin' Patriots on Tuesday. As for Greenville H, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spartanburg Day will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 40th).
