Plano had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Rochelle on Thursday. The Reapers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hubs a 7-0 shutout. The Reapers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28th (when they won 29-0).

Chesney Schimandle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lindsey Cocks, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Chloe Rowe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Plano's victory bumped their record up to 8-19-1. As for Rochelle, their loss dropped their record down to 9-20.

Plano does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rochelle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
