Volleyball Recap: Terry Sanford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Seventy-First on Monday, Terry Sanford came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Lumberton Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Avery Morris paced Terry Sanford's offense, picking up eight kills. Morris got some help from Abigayle Hodges and her 17 assists. Hodges was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Terry Sanford's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lumberton, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Terry Sanford is set to square off against their familiar foe Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lumberton will take on rival Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
