Basketball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. North Kitsap Vikings

Olympic hasn't had much luck against North Kitsap recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Olympic Trojans will face off against the North Kitsap Vikings at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Olympic had to suffer through a 71-26 loss at the hands of Bainbridge. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Spartans are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, North Kitsap took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-23 win over Bremerton. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Olympic and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for North Kitsap, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Olympic couldn't quite finish off North Kitsap in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 49-47. Can Olympic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
