Preview: Frankston Indians vs. Kerens Bobcats
Frankston is 8-0 against Kerens since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Frankston Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Kerens Bobcats at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Frankston is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kerens in Texas (Frankston is ranked 419th, while Kerens is ranked 840th).
After a string of eight wins, Frankston's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a tough 49-23 defeat at the hands of Martins Mill. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Frankston has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Kerens scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They claimed a resounding 79-51 win over Latexo at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Kerens has posted since November 28, 2023.
Frankston's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Kerens, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-5.
Everything came up roses for Frankston against Kerens in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 54-20 win. Will Frankston repeat their success, or does Kerens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
