Football Recap: Gibson Southern Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gibson Southern had no problem doing just that on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats 17-14. The 17-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory (which was Gibson Southern's tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
