Varnum gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against the Indianola Warriors as they made off with an 18-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Whippets, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Devyn Fullbright was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Aiden Cooper was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Varnum hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianola struck out six times.

Varnum has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Indianola, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

As of now, neither Varnum nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
