Volleyball Game Preview: Beresford Watchdogs vs. Dell Rapids Quarriers

The Beresford Watchdogs will venture away from home to square off against the Dell Rapids Quarriers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Beresford managed to slip by Vermillion the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Watchdogs came up short against the Tanagers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Watchdogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Beresford took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Dell Rapids made easy work of Tri-Valley on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Quarriers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won eight in a row.

Dell Rapids not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Tri-Valley between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

Dell Rapids' win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Beresford, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-17.

Beresford suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Dell Rapids in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Watchdogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
