Basketball Game Preview: Dr. Phillips Panthers vs. Lake Region Thunder

The Dr. Phillips Panthers will square off against the Lake Region Thunder at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Dr. Phillips had to suffer through a 67-38 loss at the hands of Apopka. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Region scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKeel Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Region's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dr. Phillips, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
